Playhouses
WORKING WITH US
Building for a Cause
Since 2001, Cape Associates has brought imagination to life by designing and building custom playhouses, raising over $165,000 to support local nonprofits and make a meaningful impact in our community.
Philanthropy
In 2001, Michael Cole sparked an idea that combined craftsmanship with community spirit: building a custom children’s playhouse, raffling it off during Eastham Windmill Weekend, and donating the proceeds to a local nonprofit. This initiative quickly grew into a tradition.
These imaginative structures come to life and are showcased until they’re raffled off. Tickets are available for purchase at Cape Associates or directly through the benefiting nonprofit.
How the Playhouse Program Works
Each year our team designs and builds a one-of-a-kind children's playhouse. The finished playhouse goes on display, raffle tickets are sold, and the proceeds go to a local nonprofit.
Past playhouses have supported organizations such as Cape Cod Community College's Educational Foundation, the local Pop Warner football program and the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center. Area architects have also contributed designs through a playhouse design contest.
The program is part of our wider commitment to the Cape Cod community, alongside the Michael H. Cole Charitable Giving Foundation.
