Cape Associates designed and built this garden gazebo in Chatham. White board-and-batten walls, a hipped gray roof and a small cupola give it the look of a tiny pavilion, with a pair of warm wood doors at the front.

Windows wrap the building on several sides, and exposed rafter tails show under the eaves. Granite stepping stones lead across the lawn to the entry, and lavender and shrubs line the foundation. Flower beds and clipped shrubs soften the base of the walls.

Inside, white shiplap walls and a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and black tension rods frame a seating area. Ceiling fans, a skylight and a wood floor round out the room. A smaller open pergola with white columns stands in the garden nearby.
