New Home, Eastham, MA

Cape Associates Design Team

Cape Associates designed and built this new home in Eastham through its Design/Build team. The exterior is a classic Cape form: weathered cedar shingles, a central gable with a window above a front porch, and white trim.

An orange-stained front door stands between slender columns, and shrubs line a path across the front yard. At the back, a picket fence encloses the garden and a second story rises over a patio door.

• White-trimmed windows
• Upstairs rooms with sloped ceilings, white walls and recessed lights
• Dark-stained hardwood floors
• A black pendant lantern over the stairwell Planted beds edge the front walk and a low fence marks the side yard.

The photos show the house on a natural, wooded lot. Gray shingle sides, simple window groupings and a steep gable give the house a clear, well-proportioned shape, with a gravel path along the side leading to the rear garden.
