Cape Associates designed and built this remodel in Orleans. The photos show a kitchen, bathrooms, a laundry area and a mudroom reworked with careful detail.

The kitchen has a large island with a granite-look counter and black stools, a professional-style range, double wall ovens and a tall glossy brown refrigerator. White flat-panel cabinets and a pale glass backsplash keep it bright.

Other areas include:
• A dining area with blue upholstered chairs and a crystal chandelier
• A window seat with blue pillows
• A bathroom with a floating white vanity and warm wood side panels
• Stacked laundry units behind a paneled door
• A mudroom with vertical wood slats and a built-in bench

Dark floors tie the rooms together. Because Cape Associates handled both design and construction, the layout, cabinetry and finishes were planned together as one project.
