Renovation, Provincetown

This in-progress renovation in Provincetown involves a hillside house overlooking the town. An old black-and-white photograph in the gallery shows the earlier house, with its chimney and deck, for comparison.

Photos of the work show cedar shingle walls with new windows, a curved balcony and wood decking. Inside, bright white rooms with sloped ceilings are being prepared, with protective floor covering and tools still in place.

• Tall gable window wall with a ceiling fan above
• Tiled shower with a recessed niche
• Walnut-toned cabinetry in the bath area
• Skylight and sliding door in an upper room A ladder and shop vacuum sit in one room.

The images show a project underway rather than a finished home. Open framing in earlier photos and blue-taped trim in later ones mark the sequence of work, from structure to finishes, still in progress at the time of the photographs.
