FORWARD at the Rock

FORWARD at the Rock is a multi-family residential project built by Cape Associates with Union Studio Architecture. The photographs show a cluster of connected, single-story buildings with cedar-shingled gables and gray asphalt roofs, set among pitch pines.

The buildings step along a curving drive and walkway, with small covered entries, railed porches and a paved terrace. Gabled bays break up the long roofline so the group reads as a village of cottages rather than one large block.

The site is landscaped with native grasses and boulders, and a groundbreaking photo with hard hats and ceremonial shovels records the start of construction. A rendering captioned Hokum Rock Home appears among the images.

The images follow the project from the groundbreaking to the finished buildings. Level walks, railed entries and a looping drive show a site laid out for easy movement between the entrances, with the pine woods close behind.
