FORWARD at the Rock | Phase 2
This eight-unit, all-electric building features accessible one-bedroom apartments of approximately 600 square feet, with shared indoor common space and an outdoor deck. Designed for sustainability, the project includes a proposed solar array and a projected HERS score of 42.
The gallery for FORWARD at the Rock | Phase 2 follows the work from bare ground to finished buildings. Early photos show a wood-framed structure rising on a cleared, sandy site, with new paving laid out beside it.
A groundbreaking photo shows people holding ceremonial shovels in front of the framing, and a later ribbon-cutting shows a group gathered outside a covered entry with cedar shingle siding. Safety fencing and piles of excavated sand mark the early stages.
• Low gabled buildings with gray asphalt roofs
• Covered porches along the entries
• Paved parking with marked accessible spaces
• A landscaped circle with planted beds and walkways Walkways link the entries to the lot.
Woodland surrounds the campus, and the aerial views show how the buildings and drives fit into it. Photos taken from above show the finished roofs, curved drives and entry courts in one view.
