New Home, Orleans, MA

Cape Associates built this new waterfront home in Orleans with S.A. Architecture. The shingled house is tall and layered, with a multi-level porch, balconies, railed decks and a cupola at the top.

On the water side, the house sits behind a lawn with ornamental grasses. A screened porch with white columns runs along the ground floor, and sliding screens open it to the yard.

Inside, the photos show:
• A primary suite with French doors that open to a balcony facing the water
• A corner sitting nook with a desk, tufted chair and a fish-shaped rug
• A bath with a freestanding tub, a long white vanity and a glass shower
• A wood-lined ceiling with an arched gable window

The detailing is crisp and nautical. Glass doors, window groupings and wood ceilings bring the water view and daylight into the living areas on every level.
