New Home, Orleans, MA

Catalyst Architecture and Cape Associates worked together on this new home in Orleans. The front entry is set into a sweeping curved portico with white columns and a sage-green metal roof, framed by a lively mix of tan and warm red-orange shingles.

Curved and rounded forms repeat across the house, from an arched window above the entry to a bowed dormer with a wavy roofline. Small round and arched windows peek out of the gables, and the roofline carries a railed deck on top.

• Curved portico with metal roof
• Two-tone cedar shingle siding
• Tall, grouped multi-pane windows
• Gravel drive circling to the door

Inside, a tall open kitchen has turquoise cabinetry, stainless appliances, a balcony railing above and pendant lights over the island. The color echoes the green metal roof outside, and glass at the far side keeps the room bright.
