Porches and Decks

This gallery collects porches and decks that Cape Associates has built on Cape Cod houses, from small screened rooms to wrap-around verandas.

Examples include:
• A screened porch with a dining table looking out on marsh
• A deck with white Adirondack chairs and cable railings
• A wide white porch along the front of a large home
• Raised decks on posts above grasses and the water

One house has a round tower corner with a deep wraparound porch under a hip roof, set on a wide lawn. A second house has a deck wrapped around a corner of its shingled walls.

Another shows a modern glass-and-cedar addition with a deck stepped down a sandy slope. Painted railings, shingle siding, brick chimneys and white trim recur across the set, and many of the decks take advantage of the water or open meadow beyond. Steep gables rise behind several of them.
