Major Renovation, Orleans, MA

This Orleans renovation was completed by Cape Associates with Daniel H Reynolds Design Collaborative. Gabled glass, green trim and weathered gray siding give the house a distinctive profile from the pool terrace.

A cedar pergola shades the dining area beside a rectangular swimming pool, and an outdoor stone fireplace glows at dusk. A hot tub and umbrella sit on the upper deck.

• Living room with tall gable windows, a brick fireplace and a grand piano
• Bedroom with a sleigh bed and a telescope by the glass doors
• Kitchen with wood cabinets, dark counters, an island with stools and skylights
• Shower with a vertical mosaic tile strip

An outdoor shower enclosure and balcony complete the exterior. Green-painted trim, a tall chimney and large banks of glass appear on several sides of the home, so the pool, deck and house read as one composition.
