Major Renovation, Provincetown

Cape Associates worked with Hammer Architects on this major renovation in Provincetown. Natural cedar shingles weather to a soft gray across the compact, gabled house, and a tall brick chimney anchors one side.

Large sliding glass doors open the ground floor to a deck, while a second building nearby echoes the same shingle siding. Beach grasses and low shrubs grow along the stone paths, and a white picket fence marks the edge of one house with a red front door.

Inside, the main living space has a white painted fireplace surround with built-in niches and a brick hearth. Wood floors and white walls keep the rooms light. Light flows in from large windows on several sides.
