Major Renovation, Provincetown, MA

This waterfront house in Provincetown was renovated by Cape Associates working with architect Ezra Block. The interior is bold and modern, with turquoise as the signature color.

The kitchen has turquoise flat-panel cabinets edged in light wood, with two islands topped in warm wood. Large sliding glass doors open from the kitchen to a deck that faces the water. A white wood-plank ceiling runs overhead, with skylights letting light in.

The living area steps down a few treads. It holds a pale sectional and a small fireplace, and beyond it the dining table sits near a patterned wall and a black spiral stair.

Outside, a wood-slat pergola covers a small courtyard with gravel and plantings. Cedar-clad walls and a pivot-style entry door give the entrance a warm, private feel. The bath uses large gray tile, a wall-mounted faucet and a white tub beside a bright window.
