Major Renovation, Provincetown, MA

Cape Associates carried out this major renovation in Provincetown with b Architecture Studio. The work pairs a traditional look outside with a clean, modern interior.

The front of the home keeps gray cedar shingles and white-trimmed windows, with a yellow door and a gravel path. At the back, a new wood deck with steps leads out from the house.

Inside, details include:
• A gas fireplace with a pale stone surround and wood mantel
• A built-in bench and wood table in the dining nook
• A kitchen island in bright yellow with a sink
• Appliance storage tucked beneath the stair
• Green-painted structural posts

Outside, a cedar outdoor shower enclosure sits on a bluestone patio, with a small pergola above. Pale wood floors and light walls in the main rooms keep the interior airy, while touches of color give the small spaces personality.
