Major Renovation, Provincetown, MA
Pacheco-Robb Architects and Cape Associates worked together on this major renovation in Provincetown. The main living area rises two stories to a ceiling with a reclaimed wood beam, a cable-rail staircase and a large star on the wall.
A white shiplap fireplace wall, with a gas fire set in gray stone, anchors the seating area. Dark plank flooring, blue-green chairs and a long dining table give the open room a lively feel. Gray-painted doors line the hall, and a large window brings daylight to the stair.
The kitchen uses flat-panel cabinets in warm wood and white, with white counters and a bar with stools. Upstairs, bedrooms tuck under sloped ceilings, with skylights, ceiling fans and arched or octagonal windows.
A white-tiled bathroom has a matching octagonal window, a floating vanity and cage-style wall lights. Bright finishes keep the upper rooms open, with wall-mounted air handlers, ceiling fans and plenty of daylight.
