Renovation, East Orleans, MA

This East Orleans renovation was handled by Cape Associates as design/build. The work touched the kitchen, bedrooms, living spaces and bathrooms, all brought together with light oak floors and neutral walls. Warm wood tones in the furniture and cabinetry give the interiors a lived-in comfort.

The kitchen has honey-toned cabinetry, a white island with seating and a range with a hood. A dining area sits next to it, with a bright family room beyond. Pendant lighting hangs over the island, and a built-in hutch with glass doors holds dishware.

• A primary bedroom with wood furniture and a large bed
• Living rooms with sectional seating
• Windows with woven shades
• Glass doors to a deck

Bathrooms show white tile, glass-enclosed showers, brass faucets and oval mirrors. One has a double vanity in stained wood with a patterned rug. A little wallpaper and wainscoting adds a traditional touch to another.
