Renovation, Provincetown, MA

Cape Associates worked with Hammer Architects on this Provincetown renovation. From the road, a low cedar-shingled house sits behind a horizontal wood fence, with a wood-clad entry and dark windows tucked under a gently pitched roof.

Inside, tongue-and-groove wood ceilings run through the living area, where a freestanding gas fireplace sits beside a dining table by tall windows. Large windows bring in light. Warm wood ceilings and floors give the space a cabin-like feel.

• Open kitchen with wood cabinets and a green tile backsplash
• Cedar plank accent wall in the bedroom
• Bathroom with gray-green handmade tile
• Screened porch with a view of trees

An outdoor shower enclosure stands among the trees, and a playful blue sheep sculpture sits on the stair landing. The wood tones throughout, from the ceilings to the plank walls, create a warm contrast to the white walls and large panes of glass.
