Renovation, West Dennis, MA

This West Dennis renovation was completed by Cape Associates with Catalyst Architecture. White clapboard siding, navy shutters, a brick foundation and a gable-front form give the house its traditional Cape Cod look.

A screened porch with a white railing anchors one side. Inside, the kitchen is white with a granite island and open shelves, and a blue door leads to a sunny breakfast area. Sunlight fills the kitchen through a row of windows over the counter.

The photographs show the older rooms preserved next to the new work. Dormers, a brick stoop with blue door and shuttered windows remain true to the original character, and the open yard gives the white house a traditional setting.
