Kitchens
Kitchens are a regular part of the work Cape Associates does, and this gallery shows a variety of them. Cabinet colors range from soft gray and white to warm natural wood.
One kitchen sits under a vaulted ceiling with an arched window above the sink. Gray shaker cabinets are paired with black hardware, glass-front uppers, and a wall oven and microwave stack. A herringbone-style tile backsplash and white counters keep the room bright.
Other kitchens include:
• A white island with bar stools and a pass-through to the dining area
• Marble-patterned counters under an arched window
• A walnut-toned cabinet kitchen with a dark island
• A cabinet run with glass doors and open shelving for display
Across the set, painted wood floors and warm wood tones tie the cabinets to the surrounding rooms. Pendant lights, open shelving and stainless appliances recur throughout the set.

Dining Rooms
This collection brings together dining spaces Cape Associates has built and renovated across Cape Cod, each shaped by the setting around it.
Several rooms look straight out to the water, with tall windows and glass doors that open to decks or porches. Others sit beside the kitchen in an open plan, close to an island with counter stools.
Details you can see across the photos:
• Round and long rectangular tables in wood, some with Windsor-style chairs
• Chandeliers and pendant lights over the table
• Wide-plank hardwood floors with area rugs
• Bay and corner window groupings
• Painted walls in soft green and blue, and a built-in china cabinet with display niches
The common thread is a table placed where the light and the view are best. Whether the room is formal or casual, the finishes are practical and the layouts are planned around how families and guests gather.

Bathrooms
Cape Associates builds bathrooms across the Cape, and this gallery gathers a range of them in one place. The rooms vary in scale and mood, from a bright primary bath to a small powder room.
• Double vanity with white cabinetry and a framed mirror
• Frameless glass shower enclosures with tiled niches
• Mosaic tile backsplash behind a wall-mounted faucet
• Soaking tub set into a tiled surround under a skylight
• Patterned wallpaper above wainscot in a powder room
Several baths use large-format tile in soft neutral tones. Others bring in color through glass mosaic or a painted accent wall, and a few add wall sconces and shuttered windows for light.
One bath looks out over a wooded shoreline through a generous window beside the tub. Another pairs a warm wood vanity with a pale tiled floor and a patterned ceramic wall.

Bathroom Vanities
A bathroom vanity sets the tone for the whole room, and this gallery gathers a range of them from Cape Associates projects. Cabinetry runs from painted finishes to richly stained wood, paired with marble and solid-surface counters in a variety of shapes and sizes.
• Navy and gray painted cabinets with brass pulls and faucets
• Double-sink vanities with a mirrored makeup counter between
• An open-shelf wood vanity with folded towels stored below
• Wall-mounted faucets and a vessel sink on a dark wood base
Backgrounds change from room to room. Some walls carry white shiplap, others long subway-style tile, striped marble or a bold red penny-tile accent. Round, rectangular and wood-framed mirrors sit beside wall sconces.
Glass-enclosed showers and a freestanding tub appear in several of the bathrooms, each fitted around its own vanity and layout. The variety shows how much a single fixture can change the feel of a room.

Screened Porches
Screened porches are a Cape Cod favorite, and this collection shows the many forms Cape Associates has built. Each one is set to take in air, shade and a view.
Some face tidal marsh or open water. Others look over gardens, a pool or woodland. Ceilings range from white beadboard to stained wood, and floors from painted decking to slate to natural wood.
Highlights from the photos:
• A multi-sided porch with a peaked ceiling
• Navy cushions and a round table on a stained wood deck
• Painted columns and a ceiling fan
• A raised porch with an outdoor stair
• A built-in bench beside a dining table
The porches sit on shingled and clapboard houses, and each one adds a room that is open to the breeze and protected from the bugs. Whatever the style, each porch is framed to keep screens clear of the view and to give furniture a comfortable place to sit.

Tile Work
This gallery highlights tile work from Cape Associates projects, in both bathrooms and kitchens. The tile varies from bold color to quiet neutrals. In the bathrooms, one shower is lined with aqua glass mosaic, and another with vertical bands of pale green tile.
A marble shower has a mosaic border strip and a built-in bench. A double vanity in warm wood stands against a deep blue wall over a patterned rug.
The kitchens show different backsplashes behind the counters:
• Glass tile in soft blue-green behind white cabinets
• Subway tile with a dark butcher-block counter
• Patterned tile behind a range and hood
• Small mosaic sheets beneath glass-front uppers
Floors include a black tile floor in a compact white kitchen. Throughout, the grout lines and trim edges are cleanly finished, and the tile is matched to the cabinets and counters around it.

Garages
Garages on the Cape often do more than park cars. This collection shows the range Cape Associates has built, from freestanding outbuildings to garages joined to the main house.
The exteriors are mostly cedar shingle with white trim, topped with asphalt shingle, cedar shake or standing-seam metal roofs. Doors vary from white paneled overhead doors to stained wood carriage-style doors.
Other features visible in the photos:
• A garage with sliding barn-style doors that open onto a stone patio
• An upper-level room reached by an exterior stair with cable railing
• Gabled roofs and dormers that echo the house beside them
• A gravel drive that curves to a three-bay garage
• A bright interior with white-painted walls and a long wood table
Each one is sized and detailed to suit its site. Good proportions and matching materials help even a large garage sit quietly beside the house instead of dominating the property.

Porches and Decks
This gallery collects porches and decks that Cape Associates has built on Cape Cod houses, from small screened rooms to wrap-around verandas.
Examples include:
• A screened porch with a dining table looking out on marsh
• A deck with white Adirondack chairs and cable railings
• A wide white porch along the front of a large home
• Raised decks on posts above grasses and the water
One house has a round tower corner with a deep wraparound porch under a hip roof, set on a wide lawn. A second house has a deck wrapped around a corner of its shingled walls.
Another shows a modern glass-and-cedar addition with a deck stepped down a sandy slope. Painted railings, shingle siding, brick chimneys and white trim recur across the set, and many of the decks take advantage of the water or open meadow beyond. Steep gables rise behind several of them.

Fireplaces
This gallery shows fireplaces that Cape Associates has built in Cape Cod homes, each one fitted to the room around it. The surrounds are made from several different materials.
• Fieldstone and stacked stone, some with a wood mantel
• Old brick with a rustic timber mantel
• Polished stone slab around a modern gas fireplace
• White painted mantel with a green stone surround
• Black-faced firebox in white paneling with built-in benches
Many are flanked by white built-in shelves and cabinets, with space for a television above or beside the opening, and some have wood floors that run right up to the hearth.
The living rooms around them show a coastal palette of white millwork, wood floors and soft furnishings. Glass doors, wall sconces and wall paneling complete the rooms, and the hearths are the focal point of each. The details suit rooms from a compact den to a large living space.

Outdoor Showers
An outdoor shower is a Cape Cod favorite, and this collection shows a range of versions built by Cape Associates. Materials include cedar boards, mahogany-toned slats and natural fieldstone, each chosen to hold up to sun and salt air.
Some enclosures stand alone, with tall cedar doors and black hardware. Others attach to the house, tucked beside a back door on a small wood platform, or built into a stone wall beneath a deck.
• Horizontal slat screens for privacy and airflow
• Granite fieldstone walls with a shower head
• A built-in bench in a stone-backed stall
• Gravel and wood floors for drainage
One open-air version has louvered walls beside a freestanding tub and a cushioned daybed. Another uses shingles that match the house wall. Each design screens the user from view while staying open to air and light. Towel hooks and benches are within reach.
